What shipped in 0.2.0.

Folders expand in the sidebar

  • A favourite in the sidebar gained a disclosure chevron, so its folders can be opened in place and drilled into without changing what the main view is showing — the way Explorer’s tree works.

Copy as Pathname

  • The contextual menu can copy a file or folder’s absolute path, which is the one thing a file browser sitting next to a terminal is asked for most often.

Known limits in 0.2.0

  • No undo, no drag and drop, no hidden files, no sortable columns, and no session restore. This is the second beta and it is close to the first.
  • The folder on screen is only re-read on ⌘R.
  • The sidebar has Favorites but not yet Recents, Shared, the Trash, the tags or iCloud Drive; those arrived in 0.3.0.
  • The path bar is a label rather than something you can type into. Going somewhere you cannot see means ⇧⌘G and knowing the path in full.
