About the creator
A lightweight Mac editor,
built independently in Milan.
I’m Calogero Cascio, an independent developer with more than twenty years in IT and telecommunications. I built Linelark because I missed the role Notepad++ played on Windows: a capable editor that starts quickly, stays open all day, and never asks every file to become a project.
Why Linelark exists

Linelark is my native macOS answer to the editor I want permanently available in the Dock. It is built with SwiftUI and AppKit, carries no bundled browser runtime, searches folders only when asked, and restores the files and unsaved work that were open before.
It is not a Notepad++ port and does not pretend to have every feature Notepad++ accumulated over two decades. The point is a focused Mac application: careful text handling, flexible panes, folder-wide search, and—in Studio—a real terminal that follows each file.
